Happy Hauntings Tab Book

Gee, it feels likes an age since I last posted (it is, you say) but I'm back with a little tab book from Twiddleybitz.   Twiddleybitz have all sorts of interesting chipboard to create lots of projects with and if you've ever seen their stand at a craft show, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

For this project I decided to use the "Happy Hauntings" collection from Graphic 45 (yes, I think I'm well and truly hooked on their gorgeous papers).  Now, I don't usually do anything associated with halloween, but this is whimsical and fun and this time around I also bought a set of stamps which has some owls, spiderweb, broomstick, cat, witches hat and a spider.  While I was looking at the spider stamp thinking about where I could put him, much to my horror, I moved a piece of paper on my table and there was a real spider looking at me - a not nice black one, who was dealt with fairly quickly!

Anyway, enough of my ramblings - on with some pics :

I decided to use ribbons down the spine instead of rings just to give it a bit more zing, and on the red wrap the witch is wearing, is some green glitter, tiny long bits instead of normal glitter.

Each page has been gone around with distress ink to take away any white edges and some images have been fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals.

These papers have been printed with all sorts of interesting images and each time I look, I find something I missed at first glance.

I have to admit, I think these two pages together are just a bit busy, what with flowers and hats.  The cat and the witches hat are both from the stamp set.

Do you like the three eerie owls sitting on their branch in the middle of the sky?

And the back cover, wishing us all a 'Jolly Halloween'.  This was quite a fun project to put together, even though halloween is still a few months off.

I'll be back again soon (I promise ....) so thanks for visiting.

Have a crafty day!

  3. I don't usually do halloween either Helen but there are some really fun halloween themed stamps and papers going on this year and I'm so tempted! Your project is tempting me further - this looks such fun! I'm horrified at the idea of a 'not nice' spider in your craft room - I'd have needed treatment for shock! Vicky x
