Graphic 45 - Magic of Oz

I really enjoy using Graphic 45 papers.  There is so much you can do with them, from cardmaking, off the page, scrapbooking to mini albums, the list could go on.  Here I've made a mini album with a co-ordinating card for another friend for her birthday.   These papers are from the Magic of Oz collection and are just gorgeous.

I only sort of knew the story of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, so I went off to my local bookstore and bought myself a copy.  It's a really easy book to read and not very long, well recommended.

Easel Card

Another of my favourite types of card to make is an Easel Card.  Really easy to construct, folds flat for postage and displays well without bending or falling over.    This one was made using all Stampin' Up! products.  Stamps used are: Eastern Blooms; Heard from the Heart; and Bird Builder punch for the leaves.

Decorative Pocket Book

During the course of last year, a number of my schoolfriends (and myself) all turned that magic age of 50.  Because I thought this was a 'special' event in our lives, I created for each of them a little book which I called a Decorative Pocket Book, but the original idea came from www.creativeoperation.blogspot.com.  These books were mostly made using papers from Stampin' Up! and Graphic 45.  Each book has 2 pockets with tags.  They were lots of fun to make and I thought would make a lovely memento to treasure.

Here you can see the cover and one of the pages.

Each recipient also received a co-ordinating card.  I really enjoy making fancy fold cards and to go with this book, she received a Tri-fold Shutter Card.

Masculine Card

When looking at new stamps, I nearly always think about how versatile the stamp will be and whether I can 3D with it.  Sometimes, of course, I buy a stamp purely because I just like it.  With a stamp like Tic Toc I thought it would be really useful for a masculine card, and I could also layer it ..... what a bonus.

Tic Toc is from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is Stampin' Up! "Sense of Time" (retired).

Graphic 45 - Magic of Oz

When creating the Magic of Oz project with all its 3D cut images, there are always left over bits'n pieces so why not use these for making a card.  This card was quite a different style for me, but I was really happy with how it turned out.

Graphic 45 - Magic of Oz

As a starting point for Creative Chooke, one of the projects I've been working on has been creating a 3D layout using Graphic 45 "Magic of Oz" with lots of fussy cutting and layering.  It's always fun to look at a picture and work out in what order the different images need to be layered.  Once the 12x12 page was finished, I got to work on the frame, looking to see what colours would work the best.  Finding the signpost was perfect for what I had in mind.  The frame and signpost are both from Twiddlybits.
