Gosh, it's already the 15th of January, so without any further ado
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I often find once Christmas is over, I feel quite weary and the little gray cells need a break from crafting as well. At the beginning of January, I headed up the coast to my home away from home for a few days where the only crafting I did was colouring in "The Enchanted Forest" book I was given for Christmas. This is such an easy way to craft, where the hardest thing to decide is which picture and what colours to use.
Now I'm back home and feeling refreshed and ready to go again!
Let me just go back to last year and to the 21st birthday card I made for a nice young man.
This was the first time I had used this stamp from Dylusions and I was really happy with the way it turned out. I stamped Winston onto white card and fussy cut around the whole image. I then stamped it again onto white card as well as blue shimmer paper. I coloured the bow tie and waistcoat with markers, fussy cut all the pieces including the sleeves, front of jacket, lapels etc and put them all back into place on the first image. I guess this is what you would call paper piecing? Winston was attached to the card with dimensionals.
The sentiment is also from Dylusions and was stamped directly onto the card.
This stamp is from my stash which I found again when I was looking for something else.
Our friend seemed tickled pink with his card.
Thanks for looking today and I'll be back again soon with more craftyness!
Happy Crafting!
